Lasting Memories Challenge #35

Challenge #35 - PAGE SKETCH

I was really struggling to use these pictures and the simple page sketch from Lasting Memories was the perfect inspiration.

Here's my page.  I love how simple it is because the pictures are pretty busy.

Also, take a look back at my previous several posts to find more lasting memories challenges.

A Day Together

Here is a fun spring page of my husband and I making a pit stop on a road trip home from visiting friends.  It was just nice to enjoy a simple day together.

Challenge #34 - EASTER!

With my husband working out of town and no kids in our life yet there aren't too many opportunities to take Easter photo.  We do enjoy our sweets though whether they're egg shaped or not.

One tradition we have is buying candy apples.  We go to the same chain every time we're in a city that has one and buy a candy apple to share.  We picked this one up on our way home from our honeymoon.

Challenge #33 - JOURNALING

One thing I don't do enough of in journaling!!!  I am working on it though.  Usually I write in my journal blocks but whenever I have a fair amount to say I type and print it.

Chichen Itza
We went to Chichen Itza in Mexico on our honeymoon.  Accomplishing my goal of seeing three out of the seven world wonder was something worth journaling.

Challenge #32 - SPRING!

For this layouts I used pictures from our friends wedding last spring!  It was in June and had a purple and green theme...perfect for photos and a great spring layout!

My husband (then fiance) and I were both in the wedding and both of them were in ours a couple months later so it was really special.

I had a lot of fun adding spring embellishments to this page like the butterflies and the flower.

Four New Layouts

Here are another four layouts I made at the scrap retreat last weekend.

Grad
This is a few photos from when my friend Hailee graduated from high school.

You Light Up My Life
I've used this picture on a different page but I decided to make it black and white and use it again because I really needed a title page for this album.

Good-bye
This is a page of the cake and mini party I got on the last day of my job.

Climb!
A few girlfriends and I are taking up shouldering at our local climbing gym.  It's a lot of fun and a surprisingly good workout.  These photos are of our first time trying it.

I am on a finishing spree right now!  I'm getting lots of albums that only had one or two layouts left.  I am much more of a starter than a finisher so it feels good to have some albums done!

Saying Good-Bye to Winter

I spent my weekend at my first ever scrapbook retreat.  No surprise that it was the best thing ever.  They call it "The Perfect Weekend" and it really was.  I can't believe home much I got done!!!  Of course I am still no where near caught up but getting there at least feels possible now.

The retreat was at a nearby ski resort so even though it's been spring for a while I got another little taste of winter.  It snowed ever day we were there!

Now that I'm back it's time to officially say good-bye to winter...here are three winter layouts I did while I was there.  After this it'll be all spring and summer!  Enjoy.

White Christmas
Spending Christmas with my husbands uncle and his wife was great because I had another non-asian to help me show his family the Canadian traditions (like Christmas popper crowns) they were missing out on.

I love the banner on this.  I am so glad I found a great page to use it on.

Whistler
The next day we call drove the Whistler.  It was great!  I've never been but we enjoyed the village.  It was a great day of food and shopping.  We almost got stuck there due to snow and I almost wish we had.

May favorite photo is the one of us all on the Olympic sign.  Notice that my husband and his brother climbed into the top circles.  It was so slippery and shaky I was terrified for them...made for a great picture though!

Family Photo
We always joke with my friend Jess that she is like our child.  This year we decided to get a family photo with Santa.  Too bad my husband looks like he's supposed to be my child here too.

I did over 20 layouts last week and have a ton of scrapbooking motivation left over so expect a lot of posts from me in the next few weeks.

Pumpkin Heads

Here is the first new layout I've posted this year!  Wow...Sorry I am so behind.  Getting locked out of my account really slowed me down.

This weekend I am headed to a ski resort for my first ever SCRAPBOOK RETREAT!!!  Yay!  I'm super excited and planning on getting a lot done so expect a lot more layouts from me next week.

For now here is one of my husband and his friend who turned old pumpkins into hats.
