Wedding Photos...The Ceremony!

As determined as I am to keep this blog scrapbook oriented this is something I feel I have to share.  I finally got the pro photos in from my wedding and they are gorgeous...and at least I can justify it on the basis that there will be a wedding album coming...or two considering the number of photos I have.

There is just a small portion of the photos I have from the ceremony.

The boys waiting in the back for us to arrive.  I was 45 minutes late for my own wedding!

US preparing to walk down the aisle.  My girls were more nervous than I was.

My husband cartwheeled into place.  I missed seeing it cause I was in the back but I heard the crowd go wild.

Some of his family started a wave.

The church we got married in is a heritage building.  In the back the walls are covered with photos of all the couples who have been married there.  Soon we'll be on the wall too!

Now to post the group photos!  We have some great ones.

Playa Del Carmen

This page is a collaboration of photos taken in Playa Del Carmen throughout our two week honeymoon.  I like its simplicity because they photos have so much going on.  I also like the layering of ribbon along the bottom.

This is a simple go to layout for me.  Sometimes when you have a ton of photos and you just want to get them done this layout is really nice.  Makes for much more efficient scrapbooking.

More Of Our Honeymoon

Wild Life
Here are a couple more pages I did for our honeymoon album while procrastinating all the work I had to do this week.

The first is some pictures of the wildlife we spotted at our resort.

Dolphin Discovery
These are the printed photos they gave us when we purchased our photo package for swimming with the dolphins.

Wedding Guestbook

I got married in August and wanted to incorporate my hobby into the wedding.

Our amazing photographer, Dani K Johnson, gave us this free "Get to know you shoot" when we booked our wedding with her.  I used the photos for our guestbook/scrapbook.

I kept the design really simple so I wouldn't look too messy when I added the cards.  I used black, white, and charcoal grey (my wedding color) for all the elements.

When I designed the book I set it up so pre printed cards that the guest wrote on could be glued in after.  Now that the wedding is over and we're home from the honeymoon I finally got around to gluing in all the cards.  It was super fun to read what everyone wrote and a great feeling to have the project totally done.  I remember when I first came up with the idea; it seems like forever ago and now I am married with a completed guestbook...so happy :)!

Also, there are way more pages but it would be a huge post if I showed you them all.  You get the idea.  Enjoy :)

Next step is scrapbooking all the photo booth pictures.  Can't wait!

Snorkeling

These are photos from our snorkeling trip off the coast of Cozumel, Mexico.  Fun and and really fun to scrap!

I used my new Cricut Cartridge that I bought on clearance at Micheals for $29.  I like it because the letters are so narrow it makes it way easier to fit long words on a page.  Makes my font collection far more diverse.

I found a great store in Vancouver this weekend called Urban Source.  Its on Main St.  These have tons of vintage materials to use for crafts and was a lot of fun to look through.  The "Swim with the Fish" label is made from a wood tag I found at the store.  I painted it, sanded it, distressed it with ink, sanded it, distressed it with different ink, sanded it, then stamped it.

I'm definitely is one of those phases when I could scrap all day very day.  Too bad this is a crazy week for work and school :s.

You Can Swim!

Just finished this page of my husband snorkeling.  It was one of those pictures you snap without thinking but actually turn out really well.

He's not a very good swimmer and is actually wearing a life jacket in this picture.  He might not like having a page that focuses on this little weakness but he can always be swayed by pictures of himself.  I love that man...almost as much as he loves himself.

Happy Saturday!  And be sure to check out my blog candy.
