Creative Scrapper #133

Here is a layout of a snowboarding day we had at our beautiful mountain resort, Sun Peaks.  I am hoping to get a lot more boarding in during the new year.

I used Creative Scrapper Sketch #133 as inspiration.

These "Scary Cute" flowers are leftover from another layout and worked great for this one.
Here's the sketch I used.

Tea Ceremony

After my husband and I got married my in laws wanted to have a traditional Chinese tea ceremony with a little twist.  Instead of me serving them tea to be welcomed into the family they served me.  My husbands mom also gave me a beautiful necklace that her mom had bought her when she got married.

I based this layout the the Creative Scrapper Sketch 134.  I loved creating the background from the patterned rectangle patterns.

Here is the sketch I used to inspire this layout.

The Scrappiest Sketch Challenge

This layout was inspired by The Scrappiest Sketch 93.  The sketch uses three elements, however because my pictures were horizontal I thought it would look better with four.

The photos were from us sledding behind a truck after chopping our Christmas trees down...I know, I know...that is a lot of Canadian redneck fun!

I love the soft blue journal block with the bow.  It adds a little touch of Christmas.

Here is the sketch it was based on.

This paper punch is from Scraping Supplies and has become my new favourite scrapbook tool.

Staff Christmas Party
This page is of my Christmas staff party this year.  I love my co-worker and had an awesome time cutting a rug with them.
Again with that border punch...told you it was a favourite.

This Li-mo-vember party was held by a friend who owns a limo company.  He had us all picked up and brought to the fun moustache themed party to celebrate the end of "Movember".

I painted this chipboard with the Tim Holtz Crackle Paint I got from Scraping Supplies.  Love the effect!

A Little Too Much Fun

This layout is of a wild night out with some friends.  It's actually two pages but the other is a little less wholesome so it won't be posted on the blog...Definitely a good night with good friends.

The funny thing about being such a young scrapbooker is that when I go to crops most people are scrapbooking their kids or grand kids...I'm scrapbooking nights out at the bar...That being said I just spent my Friday night finishing a whole stack of layouts so I'm not really that wild.

Tomorrow is sledding and a Christmas party/cookie exchange...glad I have so many holiday events this year cause I'm making good use of my Christmas themed paper.

Have an awesome weekend and see you with more posts on Monday!

Our First Tree!

Since I just got married to my husband in August and we didn't live together before hand this is our first year decorating our own tree for Christmas.  We cut in down in the forest so its not quite perfect but that's party what we lave about it.

When I originally wrote this post I did not mention that I used the Creative Scrapper Sketch #132 because I thought I missed their deadline.  I just checked their blog and as it turns out I'm just losing my mind...there is still another 2 weeks to enter for this sketch!  Here it the sketch I used.  I stretched it out to make it a two pager.

Oldies but Goodies

I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week!!!  On the bright side I got lots of scrapping in over the weekend so I should have a lot more posts this week including another sponsour feature, some fun Christmas layouts, and (depending on what comes in the mail) hopefully my next blog candy!!!

These layouts were made before I started my blog but for the sake of over compensating for last week's blog silence I thought I'd post them.

I promise there will be another post tomorrow.  Have a happy Monday!

Tis the Season

Here are a couple more Christmas cards I've made recently.  It's nice that this is almost checked off my to do list for the holidays...next up are tags!
I loved using this great border punch!

They are simple but look great and were quick and easy to make...which is ideal when you have to make a whole stack!

At The Beach

I know everyone is in the Christmas craft making zone but my head is still at the beach.  Here is another layout from Mexico.  It's a bunch of beach photos taken over the course of our honeymoon. I ordered that beachy woven background off esty and thought it was a great addition to the page.

Dive
Here is a page of my hubby and I about to drop backwards into the water for our first scuba trip...so much fun!

I love how these flowers accent the page.

This layout was inspired by Sketch #129 at the Creative Scrappers blog.

Christmas Card
Here is my first Christmas card of the season.  It's nice to know I've at least got a start on this since Christmas is right around the corner...also started my Christmas shopping today so things are getting done!

I really loved the deep red color of these flowers.  Perfect for the holiday season!
This card is designed for this weeks Bo Bunny card sketch challenge which is posted on the Bo Bunny blog.

So that is it for today.  I have already started on more so look out for the Christmas cards and Scary Cute creations coming.

Jump Into Fall

Here is another fun fall layout from my weekend trip to Victoria.  I love these photos we took.  Definitely the benefit of having a DSLR; my old point and shoot couldn't have captured this so perfectly.

While in Victoria we ran across a private little scrapbook shop where I bought these two Graphic 45 papers and a bunch more fun stuff you'll be seeing used soon.

I really love the painted chipboard leaf flourishes.

I've submitted this page for this week's challenge over at Let's Capture These Sketches.  Hope everyone enjoys their Friday.

Having Fun With Fall

I love this photo series my husband took of me in Victoria this weekend.  So often I'm the one behind the camera...call me vain but I really like being included in the pictures so I had a lot of fun taking and scrapping these pictures.

This pile of leaves was huge!  We also have some photos of us jumping into them which I'm excited to do a page for.

Also, I've entered this layout in Scrapbooking Competitions' November Sketch Challenge as well as listed it as one of my favourite layouts in Crop Suey's bonus challenge.

Two More From Mexico

Swimming with the Dolphins
Here is a new layout of our swimming with the dolphin pictures in Mexico.  I've been working on this layout for a while but finally got the stuff in to complete it.  I paid a lot of money for these photos so I'm glad I got a couple pages out of them.

Statues
This is another page I did a while back.  I enjoyed it because I only printed 4x6 photos so it was super easy.  After a night out at the Coco Bongo and an all inclusive bar my hubby was finally in the mood to take statue pictures with me.  I'm really in love with the pictures.

Jump! - A Sassy Lil' Sketch

This is the second submission I have for this month's Sassy Lil' Sketch.  I loved the design and think it could be used in so many different ways.

My photos are us jumping in the rain forest.  We were visiting Rio Secreto National Park in Mexico, on our way to explore their underground rivers.  I loved the photos and think this page sketch displays them perfectly.

I'm on my way to Victoria for the long weekend but will have more Mexico pages to post on Monday!

O'Keefe Ranch

Here is a page of my husband and I visiting a heritage park called O'Keefe Ranch.  We had always talked about having a day trip there and finally went last fall when we were looking fo wedding venues...since I haven't had time to scrapbook in almost a year I'm finally getting around to making the page.

Since it's a heritage park with a farm and an old mansion I had a ton of fun using a bunch a vintage pieces on this page.

I've entered this page in the challenge over at Let's Capture These Sketches.  Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
